The problem with that was when I was working the dog with the leash the collar would pull to the side because the D-ring would turn the collar towards it. Then when I would go to grab the handle it was always off to the side pulled down by the D-ring. So when I designed this I incorporated the D-ring in the place where it was of the most function and convenience. The hardware is heavy duty hardware. The handle is a great tool in training the new dog on the out.
This is the working dog collar of choice that will not hurt the dog’s neck while providing optimal support. I use this collar in agitation work. This collar would also be very functional as a deployment collar as the handle gives you control and the width of the collar will not strain the dog’s neck. The collar is adjustable from 18-25".
