Herm Sprenger Curogan Pinch/Prong Training Collar. The length of this training collar is 24 inches maximum length. What is curogan? Curogan is a copper-tin-alloy metal with a high copper portion, thus the reddish color. There are some additives which make curogan strong but without any nickel. This collar can have links taken out of it to make it smaller to fit a smaller size. These chains avoid that fair haired dog being discolored. Dogs that have allergic skin reactions or are sensitive to nickel will like this collar because of the lack of nickel in it. Personally I love this color of collar and it looks fine on my GS.These chains avoid that fair haired dog being discolored. I notice that the ends of the prongs are nicely rounded and not sharp.

The mm (wire thickness) of this collar is 4 mm in thickness. There is no flaking or rusting. Chain link collars work great because of the fact that they do not smash down and break the dogs hair around its necks. Herm Sprenger is a German Manufacture that makes the finest chain dog collars on the market. We carry a large selection of Herm Sprenger products. Pinch collars are for training and should not be left on the dog when not being trained. If fit properly and used properly these collars do not harm the dog.

Please be advised that we will not guarantee that Curogans will not discolor your dog. For the majority of dogs it does seem to help discoloration. However it is dependent on the body chemistry of your particular dog.
