Bottcher Harness

Great for Teaching Tracking Dogs

Bottcher Harness

A Bottcher Harness is for the purpose of solving a problem with the dog raising it's head looking around during ground scent tracking. One end of the harness straps around the dogs flank and the other runs under the dogs belly to it's neck. When the dog raises its head you have the option with that bottom lead of correcting it and tugging on the bottom lead forcing its nose back down to the ground. There is a ring in the back section to attach the tracking line. Both sections of this harness are adjustable. This bottcher was designed to be used with our tracking harness but can also be used alone. Made from black latigo leather.

"I know that dogs are pack animals, but it is difficult to imagine a pack of standard poodles...and if there was such a thing as a pack of standard poodles, where would they rove to? Bloomingdale's?"
